I have been working for Online Express for the better part of 7 years. They have always treated me with respect they will get you home when you need to be no questions asked. They pay great and maintain equipment anything breaks they get it fixed. We have consistent work always preplanned loads never waiting for loads. I personally average 3100-3500 miles a week.
So impressed with my Online Express move today. Justin and Anton communicated with me the entire time, and they were so fast and thorough. They took care of all of my belongings and made moving day SO easy. I couldn’t be happier!
I was very, very impressed with Online Express moving! This is what a moving company should be like. The movers were cheerful, knowledgeable, and efficient while still being careful in a way that suggests the company treats them well and provides training. Our final cost was very close to the initial estimate and very, very reasonable for the level of service we were provided.
Just had Online Express move my pool table and gun safe they did a really good job and it went way faster than I thought. They also fixed it so it’s actually level now and did reflecting for no additional cost great value.
I haven’t had a package delivered by Online Express in four years. I’ve had them left in the ditch, left sitting atop my trash cans (on trash day,) given to neighbors, or just not delivered at all.
I’ve attempted to reconcile this with the local office multiple times.
Here is an abridged list of the reasons they’ve told me they can’t deliver to my address.
1. Your neighbor has a mean dog. I was told that my neighbors dog, which is behind a fence, is intimidating to the mail carrier, and that she is therefore not required to get out of her truck. (Fun fact? They deliver my packages to this neighbor on a regular basis instead of my house. Scary dog indeed.)
2. Your driveway is hard to back out of, so we can’t drive down it. I have a narrow driveway, but a turn around at the bottom sufficiently large for a straight-truck to turn around in. Both FedEx and UPS do this on a regular basis. When I pointed this out and even brought pictures, I was answered with a flat That is our policy, we’re not driving down it. Additional fun fact- when they’re misdelivering my packages to the neighbor with the vicious dog- they often pull into my driveway and then back out of it. In flagrant disregard for their own policies.
3. We don’t go behind homes. I live in a duplex. My primary access is on the side of the home, not the rear. Right at the side of my driveway. But no, we don’t go behind homes. Except they do. Two doors down the neighbors have an in-law cottage behind their house. I regularly watch the mail lady get out of her truck and walk all the way down and around to deliver packages to this cottage.
4. What does it matter? Your relative lives here. My mother occupies the front portion of the duplex, and one of the carriers (we see multiple) likes to go pounding on her door, which is on the front of the building, but clearly labeled as a different address. When my mother has told them that they’re delivering to the wrong address, and that the correct one is around the side she had been told So what? It’s your son. Take it to him. Super professional, guys.
5. We only deliver to actual addresses. This one threw me for a loop until I got it clarified. They were suggesting that because I live in a duplex, that my address was somehow invalid. This despite the fact my address and the address of the other duplex unit are entirely different street numbers. (Not a suite A, or apartment number, or anything of that sort.) When I’ve pointed this out I was either greeted with a brusque shrug, or told again that they only deliver to actual addresses without any acknowledgement of what I’d already told them.
After years of this, I’m still not certain what is going on. Are they incompetent? I mean, their job is delivering mail, and they fail abysmally at it- so I guess in a sense they’re incompetent.
But I think the root of it began with laziness or apathy. Not wanting to get out of the truck to deliver packages. Perhaps it was snowing, raining, too hot, or getting dark (you know, things postal employees aren’t expected to deal with) and the carrier just didn’t want to bother getting out of his or her little clown-car truck. So they tossed my package in a ditch, to the neighbor, or whatever, and moved on.
That was the start.
But the real problem is the obstinate stubbornness of the management at the PW branch. When I brought my concerns to them, they were more interested in covering butts than seeing the situation rectified- and thus began the long string of lies and excuses that have led me to leaving this review.
Rather than addressing my concerns and helping me get my mail, they stalwartly decided to shield the carrier from professional criticism without further review, and have doubled down on it ever since. Offering lazier excuses and outright lies every time I talk to them. Always in contradiction to what they’ve said or done in the past.
No accountability, and no cares.
(There is ONE nice carrier I’ve met, and I wish I knew her name so I could exclude her from this review.)
